With 39 years seniority in the Saab Group, Michael Andersson is currently Head of Strategic Partnerships and International Affairs for Saab in the US. Mr. Andersson has been leading a successful effort to grow the Saab Group Business in North America since 2011.
He has also held several additional senior management positions within the Saab Group including Deputy Head of Saab’s Business Area Support and Services, President Saab Support and Services, LLC. (2006‐2013) and President of Saab Aircraft AB (2003 -2006). Mr. Andersson played a key role in the Saab 340 and Saab 2000 aircraft programs.
Michael is immediate past Chairman of the Swedish American Chambers of Commerce USA (SACC-USA) and holds board positions in Washington D.C. (SACC‐DC) and New York (SACC‐NY). He also serves on the Atlantic Council’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
Michael has an Engineering Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering as well as post graduate studies in Finance and Business Administration at the University of Linköping and SSE Executive Education. He is a native of Sweden and resides with his family in Arlington, Virginia
