SIREUS CHANCELLORS forum

House of Sweden, Washington, D.C.

This week, SIREUS hosted the SIREUS CHANCELLORS forum 2023 in Washington, D.C. During the two days, SIREUS welcomed executive-level delegates from 11 Swedish and 14 American universities to an event which involved interesting panel discussions, presentations, networking and performances. Besides the representatives from academia, the event also hosted people from government and business life.

In today's environment, democracies are challenged in sustaining collaboration in the face of conflict and competition. Academia is a critical stakeholder in maintaining free collaboration and cooperation. Hence, SIREUS CHANCELLORS forum focused on bringing together thought leaders across government, industry, and academia to share their perspectives on how best a US-Sweden network can support democracy through soft diplomacy.

The SIREUS team would like to thank everyone who participated in this incredible event.

Armada, KTH Career Fair 2022

Stockholm, Sweden

Student-oriented careers fair Armada returns to KTH

After being held digitally the past two years, Armada is back at KTH. On 22–23 November, thousands of students and almost 150 exhibiting companies will come together at Sweden’s biggest student-oriented careers fair.

The last time Armada was held live at KTH, it attracted more than 4,000 students and 175 companies. Armada focuses a lot on sustainability and diversity, and has a special coordinator for each area. Naturally, diversity is about ensuring as well-balanced a gender distribution as possible in the project. But since KTH is a university with many international students, Armada puts an extra focus on including them.

“This year we have 145 exhibiting companies and are expecting 4,000 visitors,” says Filip Rydén, Project Manager for THS Armada at KTH.
