November 1st, 2022, SIREUS hosted its first event, Study in Sweden, which became a sold-out event. At 5 pm students from the local area of DC with an age range from High School to Master’ students arrived at House of Sweden in Washington DC. Eight top Swedish universities represented the student fair where the students had the opportunity to mingle and learn more about what Sweden has to offer in higher education.  

Furthermore, the students had the opportunity to try traditional Swedish food, and listen to the President of Lund University, Erik Renström, and Maria Brogren from the Embassy of Sweden.

Additionally, distinguished speakers Michael C. Andersson (SAAB) and Leah Scheunemann (Atlantic Council) discussed topics concerning Transatlantic Security. Afterward, a panel discussion between previous students who had studied in Sweden shared their experiences which was moderated by SIREUS Program Director Mr. Christer Bergman.  

We are grateful for all of you that showed up and contributed to this event. Now we look forward to what 2023 might hold for SIREUS forum.
