Green transition refers to the global shift towards economically sustainable growth. A sustainable economy relies on low-carbon solutions that promote a circular economy and biodiversity with a goal for decreasing greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating the negative effect of climate change such as offshore wind energy, biogas and waste heat recovery. It is about using renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric power and avoiding fossil fuels and any other non-renewable energy. Green transition also aims at decreasing the consumption of natural resources, increasing energy efficiency, and implementing environmentally friendly practices in industries such as agriculture, manufacturing, and transportation.
