Marketing Trainee

Louise Andersson

My name is Louise Andersson. During the summer and fall of 2022, I have the pleasure to do my internship as a Marketing and Web designer at SIREUS.

In June 2022, I graduated from Lund University with a Master's degree in International Marketing and Brand Management. Luckily I had the opportunity to add an extra semester to pursue an internship abroad in D.C. Therefore, this internship is the perfect way to gain more cultural and practical knowledge regarding American business and Sweden's establishment and collaboration with the U.S.

Besides my daily tasks in the office, I also attend various events, network with global companies, and visit other embassies in D.C. Additionally, in my spare time, there are infinite possibilities to experience politics, finance, hiking, and travel around the United States. The next adventure is just around the corner!

Project Management Trainee

Hanna Bergman

My name is Hanna Bergman from the University of Gothenburg. As a project management intern at SIREUS, I am very excited to strengthen the research and innovation exchange between Sweden and the U.S.

As a part of my undergraduate studies in Political Science, I just finished an internship in Brussels where we promoted innovation from northern Sweden in the EU arena. Prior to that I also lived in Addis Abeba and have been involved in a start-up platform for knowledge transfer to Ethiopia.

For me, SIREUS was a match made in heaven! To continue promoting Swedish innovation, gain more experience in a start-up setting, and experience another political capital. As an intern in D.C, I truly have the opportunity to shape my experience after my interests. I would recommend anyone to come here and do the same.

Project Management Trainee

Louise Murphy

My name is Louise Murphy and I am currently enrolled in the global management master's program at Jönköping University. As part of my studies, I will be pursuing an internship at SIREUS until mid-January 2023.

After receiving my bachelor's degree in finance, I decided to pursue my postgraduate studies in global management as a way to get a greater understanding of international business and international relations. I am very grateful for the opportunity to be one of three SIREUS interns this fall, and to get practical experience in my current field of study.

I am always seeking to gain new experiences, whether it is sky diving in Las Vegas or moving to a new country. Therefore, I am more than excited to be in D.C. and I truly look forward to the upcoming months together with the SIREUS team! My only advice to anyone thinking of applying for an internship abroad is to just do it. This is an experience you do not want to miss out on.
